Terms of Service

Effective Date: 28 April 2026

By accessing, browsing, or utilizing ShareDuct (“ShareDuct”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) to send or receive files, you actively agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and ShareDuct regarding your use of the platform. If you do not agree to these terms in their entirety, you should not access or use our service.

Overview of the Service

ShareDuct is designed to enable direct, real-time file transfers between users across the internet. We prioritize a frictionless experience, meaning we do not require accounts, subscriptions, or personal profiles to use the platform. Our service functions exclusively as a communication bridge designed to facilitate the connection between a sender and a receiver. We do not operate as a cloud storage provider; we do not provide intermediary or temporary storage for your files, and our systems are designed so that we do not have access to the contents of the files being transferred at any point.

Eligibility

To use ShareDuct, you must have the legal capacity to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. By using the service, you represent and warrant that you are of legal age to agree to these terms and that your use complies with all applicable laws and regulations. If you are using the service on behalf of an organization or entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use ShareDuct responsibly and for lawful purposes, and in accordance with the following restrictions:

  • Do not share, distribute, or promote illegal content of any kind.
  • Do not transmit malware, viruses, trojans, or other harmful files designed to disrupt software or hardware.
  • Do not engage in abusive, fraudulent, deceptive, or malicious behavior.
  • Do not violate the intellectual property, copyright, trademark, or privacy rights of any third party.
  • Do not interfere with or attempt to disrupt the integrity, security, or performance of the ShareDuct platform.

User Responsibility

Because our system is content-blind by design, you are entirely responsible for the files you choose to send and the files you choose to receive. ShareDuct does not—and cannot—verify the content, safety, or legality of the transfers, nor do we verify the identity or intentions of the participants involved. You must independently verify the authenticity and safety of any transfer before initiating a download or accepting a connection. We strongly recommend communicating with the other party through an independent, trusted channel to confirm the nature of the files before proceeding.

No Content Control

ShareDuct operates blind to the content of your transfers. This architectural choice means we lack the technical capability to moderate, filter, or review the files moving across the network. We do not store files, we do not access files, and we do not monitor file contents. Our role, liability, and operational scope are strictly limited to providing the platform that enables your direct connection. What happens within that connection remains solely between the sender and the recipient.

Service Availability

Our service relies heavily on active, stable network connections and external factors beyond our control. This includes local firewall configurations, network routing conditions, and individual device states. Therefore, we make no guarantee of successful transfers. Furthermore, we make no guarantee of continuous, error-free, or uninterrupted service. Access to the platform may be temporarily suspended for maintenance, upgrades, or unforeseen technical disruptions without prior notice.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ShareDuct, its operators, and its affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the service. This limitation of liability includes, but is not limited to, damages arising from the content shared between users, data loss or corruption during transfers, failed or interrupted transfers, or any harm resulting from interactions, downloads, or communications conducted through the platform. You assume all risks associated with direct peer-to-peer file sharing.

Disclaimer of Warranties

ShareDuct is provided strictly on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We make no representations or warranties regarding the reliability, accuracy, completeness, or overall availability of the service. We specifically disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Third-Party Services

To maintain platform security, analyze operational performance, and prevent systemic abuse, ShareDuct utilizes third-party services. Our current service partners include Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Cloudflare Turnstile, and hCaptcha. They do not have access to your files. These entities operate independently, and their respective terms and privacy policies apply to the data they process.

Official Domain

ShareDuct operates exclusively on the official domain: shareduct.com. You should only use ShareDuct through this domain. Any other websites or applications claiming to represent or mirror ShareDuct should be treated with caution. We encourage reporting any suspicious or impersonating services to help protect the community.

Access and Termination

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the service where necessary to protect the platform, its users, or to enforce these terms. This may include cases involving misuse, abuse, or violations of these terms.

Changes to These Terms

These terms apply specifically to the current, active version of ShareDuct. Because our platform and the broader legal landscape may evolve, we reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Any changes are effective immediately upon posting to this page. We encourage users to review this document periodically to stay informed of their rights and responsibilities. Your continued use of the service following any updates constitutes your active acceptance of the revised terms.
